Prima Fitness (formerly Pilates pH) is a private exercise facility owned by Tony and Janine Paladin. Prima Fitness has a team of instructors and offers the following:

  • Pilates
  • Yoga
  • CrossFit
  • Body Conditioning – Back & Joint Care
  • Group Cross training
  • Personal training
  • Sports massage
  • Pre- and post pregnancy toning, stretching and strengthening
  • All over body conditioning

Our focus is on smaller groups and private classes with specific attention to detail.

Our workouts are taught by a highly skilled team and can be described as physical meditation. We have a strong background in injury management and work very closely with our in house Biokineticists, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors.

We work from the inside out, strengthening all the core stabilizing muscles before incorporating the bigger surface muscles, thereby building true strength.

Janine Paladin - Biokineticist Sandton
Janine Paladin (Hugo) Biography:

Janine has a special interest in back and knee orthopaedic rehabilitation; drawing strengths from all disciplines she has gained experience in, including Pilates and a comprehensive dance background. 

She completed an Internationally recognised Stott Pilates course before completing her Biokinetics Honours degree at UCT.

Janine is a mom and taught Pilates all the way through her pregnancy right up until her son was born.


Tony Paladin - Biokineticist Sandton
Tony Paladin Biography:

Tony Paladin has a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation. He practices out of Johannesburg and Cape Town.

He is a former South Africa rower and formed part of the Olympic gold medal winning squad in the 2011 lead up to London 2012.

Tony’s Primary areas of focus include: Orthopaedic rehabilitation (mainly backs and knees) and has an interest in sport specific testing and training (primarily rowing, cycling, running and triathlon).

He has trained and rehabilitated a number of national, international and professional sportsmen and women and is a certified CrossFit level 1 Coach.
